Saint Josepha Rossello, foundress of the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy

Saint Josepha Rossello was born in 1811 in Albissola Marina, Italy. She founded the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy in 1837 to serve the poor, sick, and abandoned children. Her congregation quickly grew and spread throughout Italy and beyond. Known for her deep compassion and tireless service, she died in 1880 and was canonized in 1949.
