Ambrose of Milan
St. Ambrose was a prominent 4th-century bishop of Milan and one of the most influential figures of the early Christian Church. Born around 340 AD in Trier, Gaul (modern-day Germany), he was known for his eloquence, political skill, and strong opposition to Arianism. As bishop, he played a crucial role in the conversion of St. Augustine and helped shape the Western Church's beliefs and practices. Ambrose is venerated as a Doctor of the Church for his theological writings and is the patron saint of Milan, beekeepers, and students.
