Saint Romaric
Saint Romaric was a 7th-century Frankish nobleman who became a monk and later the abbot of Remiremont Abbey in France. He was originally a courtier of King Theodebert II but left his position to pursue a religious life. Romaric co-founded the double monastery of Remiremont with Saint Ame. He was renowned for his holiness and dedication to monastic reform. Saint Romaric's piety earned him widespread veneration, especially in Lorraine.
