St. Lawrence Justinian, first Patriarch of Venice
St. Lawrence Justinian (1381-1456) was the first Patriarch of Venice and a renowned Catholic saint. Born in Venice, he devoted his life to serving the Church, eventually becoming the Bishop of Castello before being elevated to the patriarchal see. He was known for his piety, humility, and tireless efforts to reform the clergy and address the needs of the people.
