Saint Marianne, of Molokai
Saint Marianne of Molokai was born in Germany in 1838 and immigrated to the United States with her family. She became a Franciscan sister and devoted her life to caring for those with leprosy in Hawaii, especially on the island of Molokai. She worked alongside Saint Damien of Molokai, providing comfort, education, and medical care to the afflicted. She is remembered for her compassion, courage, and unwavering faith.
