Vincent of Saragossa

Vincent of Saragossa

St. Vincent was a Spanish deacon and martyr who lived in the 4th century. He was born in Huesca, Spain and is venerated as one of the most famous martyrs of the early Church. During the persecution of Christians under the Roman Emperor Diocletian, Vincent was imprisoned and tortured for his faith. He remained steadfast in his beliefs and was eventually executed in Valencia in 304 AD. St. Vincent is the patron saint of wine growers, construction workers, and is invoked against drought.
