Saint Valerius of Treves

Saint Valerius of Treves was an early bishop of Treves (modern Trier, Germany) who served in the 3rd century. He is considered one of the first evangelizers of the region and a disciple of Saint Eucharius, the first bishop of Treves. Tradition holds that he played a significant role in spreading Christianity in Gaul. He is venerated as a patron and protector of the diocese.
