John Bosco
St. John Bosco (1815-1888), also known as Don Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest and educator who dedicated his life to the service of young people. Born in Piedmont, Italy, he founded the Salesian Society, a religious congregation dedicated to the education and spiritual development of the young. Bosco's innovative teaching methods, which combined academic instruction with practical training and spiritual guidance, earned him the title "Father and Teacher of the Young." He was a champion of children's rights and worked tirelessly to provide education, vocational training, and moral guidance to those in need. Venerated as a saint for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the young, Bosco is the patron saint of apprentices, boys, and young people.
