St. Leo of Catania was a 6th century bishop of Catania, Sicily. He was known for his devotion to the poor and his miraculous abilities. As bishop, he worked tirelessly to care for the needs of his flock and perform acts of charity. St. Leo is particularly venerated for his ability to exorcize demons and protect against their influence. He is the patron saint of Catania and is invoked against demonic possession and natural disasters.
