St. Maximianus of Ravenna, Bishop
St. Maximianus of Ravenna was a Roman Catholic bishop who lived in the 6th century. He served as the Archbishop of Ravenna from 546 to 556 AD. Maximianus was known for his piety, charity, and dedication to the spiritual welfare of his flock. He is particularly venerated for his role in the construction of the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe, one of the most important early Christian basilicas in Italy. St. Maximianus is the patron saint of Ravenna and is invoked for protection against storms and natural disasters.
