St. Giuseppina Vannini, Virgin

Saint Giuseppina Vannini was a Roman Catholic religious sister who founded the Daughters of Charity of St. Camillus. Born in 1859 in Rome, Italy, she devoted her life to serving the sick and the poor. After joining the Daughters of St. Camillus, she was elected superior general and worked tirelessly to expand the congregation's charitable work. Giuseppina Vannini is venerated for her selfless service and her deep spirituality. She was beatified in 1960 and canonized in 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. Saint Giuseppina Vannini is the patron saint of the Daughters of Charity of St. Camillus.
