Saint Isabella, sister of Saint Louis IX

Saint Isabella, sister of Saint Louis IX, was a French princess known for her deep piety and dedication to the poor. She was the daughter of King Louis VIII and Queen Blanche of Castile. Refusing royal marriage for a life devoted to God, Isabella founded the Franciscan monastery of Longchamp. Her charity and humility made her a model of holiness in 13th-century France.
