St. Eulogius, priest and martyr
St. Eulogius was a priest and martyr who lived in Spain during the 9th century. He was born around 800 AD and died as a martyr on March 11, 859 AD. Eulogius staunchly defended the Christian faith during a time of Moorish persecution and was beheaded for refusing to renounce his beliefs. He is venerated as a saint for his unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice his life for Christ. St. Eulogius is the patron saint of Córdoba, Spain and is invoked for protection against religious persecution.
