Saint Leo, Pope and Doctor of the Church
Saint Leo, known as Leo the Great, was the Pope from 440 to 461 AD. He is renowned for defending the unity of the Church and for his theological writings, especially on the Incarnation. He played a crucial role in the Council of Chalcedon, affirming the doctrine of Christ's two natures. Saint Leo's leadership preserved Rome during Attila the Hun's invasion.
