Saint Julius

Saint Julius I was the pope from 337 to 352, renowned for his role in defending the divinity of Christ during the Arian controversy. He provided refuge for Saint Athanasius of Alexandria and helped heal divisions within the early Church. Julius is remembered for his supportive leadership and commitment to orthodox doctrine. His steadfastness laid the groundwork for future ecumenical councils.
