Saint Zita

St. Zita of Lucca (1212-1272) was a Catholic saint and patron of domestic servants. Born in the Italian city of Lucca, she began working as a household servant at the age of 12 and remained in that role for the rest of her life. Known for her piety, humility, and diligence, Zita was often mocked by her fellow servants but remained patient and kind. She is venerated for her selfless service and miracles performed during her lifetime, including the multiplication of bread and healing the sick. St. Zita is the patron saint of domestic servants, homemakers, and waiters.
