Saint Louis, priest of Montfort

Saint Louis, priest of Montfort, was a French priest and confessor who lived from 1673 to 1716. He is best known for his ardent devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and for writing the classic treatise 'True Devotion to Mary.' Saint Louis founded the Company of Mary and the Daughters of Wisdom to spread Marian devotion and serve the poor. His spirituality greatly influenced later saints, including John Paul II.
