James the Less
Saints Philip and James the Less were two of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. Philip was born in Bethsaida and called by Jesus to be one of his disciples. James the Less was the son of Alphaeus and is believed to have been a relative of Jesus. Both men faithfully served the early Christian church and are venerated for their devotion to the faith. Philip is the patron saint of pastry chefs, and James the Less is the patron saint of pharmacists.
