Saint Philip the Apostle

Saint Philip the Apostle

Saint Philip the Apostle was one of the Twelve chosen by Jesus and is mentioned repeatedly in the Gospels, especially in the Gospel of John. He is remembered for bringing Nathanael (Bartholomew) to Jesus and for his practical questions at key moments, such as the feeding of the multitude. Christian tradition associates him with missionary preaching after the Resurrection, and he is often linked with evangelization in Asia Minor. His witness is celebrated together with Saint James the Less in the Roman Rite. He is honored as an apostolic foundation stone of the Church and a model of inviting others to Christ.
