Saint Sylvanus of Gaza

Saint Sylvanus of Gaza was a bishop and martyr of the early Church. Serving as Bishop of Gaza, he guided his flock with courage during the Diocletian persecution. He was arrested for his faith and sent to labor in the copper mines of Phœnon, where he was eventually martyred around 311 AD. Sylvanus is honored for his steadfastness and leadership under trial.
