Florian

Florian

Saint Florian was a Roman soldier and Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century. He is best known as the patron saint of firefighters and is also invoked for protection against fire and flood. Florian was martyred in present-day Austria around 304 AD for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. Legend tells that he saved a town from burning with a single bucket of water.
