Saint Angelus, martyr of Sicily
Saint Angelus, martyr of Sicily, was a Carmelite priest born in Jerusalem in the 12th century. He traveled to Sicily to preach and became known for his wisdom and miracles. Angelus opposed corruption and defended Christian morals, which led to his martyrdom in Palermo in 1220. He is venerated as one of the first Carmelite martyrs.
