Saint Judith of Thuringia
Saint Judith of Thuringia, also known as Saint Jutta, was a 13th-century German noblewoman who dedicated her life to caring for the sick and poor after the death of her husband. She entered into a life of voluntary poverty and asceticism, giving away her possessions and becoming a spiritual adviser. Jutta was renowned for her humility, intense prayer, and acts of charity. She is especially venerated in the region of Thuringia, Germany. Her life inspired others, including the famous mystic Saint Mechtilde of Magdeburg.
