Saint Paschal, friar of Villareal
Saint Paschal, friar of Villareal, was a Spanish Franciscan lay brother renowned for his humility and deep Eucharistic devotion. Born in 1540 in Torrehermosa, he spent much of his life serving in various friaries, especially at Villareal. He was famous for his charity towards the poor and his mystical experiences during prayer. Paschal was canonized in 1690 and is considered the patron saint of Eucharistic congresses and societies.
