Saint Emilia

Saint Emilia was the mother of several saints, including Basil the Great, Gregory of Nyssa, and Macrina the Younger. She lived in the 4th century in Cappadocia, present-day Turkey. Renowned for her piety, wisdom, and devotion, Emilia greatly influenced the spiritual formation of her children. She is honored as a model Christian mother in the Eastern and Western Churches.
