Saint Joan, virgin of Arc
Saint Joan, virgin of Arc, also known as Joan of Arc, was a French peasant girl who led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years' War. Believing she was guided by divine voices, she played a crucial role in lifting the siege of Orléans. Captured by her enemies, she was tried and martyred at the age of 19. Canonized in 1920, she remains a symbol of courage and faith.
