Saint Camilla

Saint Camilla Battista da Varano was an Italian princess, Poor Clare nun, and mystic. Born in 1458, she dedicated her life to deep spiritual practices and wrote several works on the Passion of Christ and the spiritual life. She is celebrated for her devotion, piety, and reforming influence within her order. Camilla was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010, and she is especially venerated in Italy.
