Saint Ronan
Saint Ronan was a 6th-7th century Irish-born hermit missionary who became venerated in Brittany, France. He is especially associated with the town of Locronan, where he lived a life of prayer and austerity. Legend holds that he performed many miracles, especially casting out evil spirits. After his death, a church was built over his tomb, which became a place of pilgrimage. His life reflects early monasticism and the spread of Christianity across Celtic lands.
