Saint Blandina, martyr of Lyon
Saint Blandina was a Christian martyr in the city of Lyon during the Roman persecution in the 2nd century. She was a slave and suffered with a group of other Christians known as the Martyrs of Lyon. Blandina is remembered for her steadfast faith and endurance despite harsh tortures. Her story is recorded in ancient Christian letters describing her courage.
