Saint Clotilde

Saint Clotilde was the Queen of the Franks and the wife of King Clovis I. She played a key role in the conversion of her husband and thereby contributed to the Christianization of the Frankish kingdom. Born around 474 in Burgundy, she was renowned for her piety and charity. After her husband's death, Clotilde retired to Tours, dedicating herself to religious works until her death around 545.
