Saint Kevin was an Irish abbot and the founder of the monastery at Glendalough, one of Ireland's most important monastic centers. Born around 498 AD, he is known for his deep love of nature and ascetic lifestyle. Legends tell of his connection with animals and his years living as a hermit in the hills. He became widely venerated in Ireland and remains one of the country's beloved saints.
