Francis Caracciolo

St. Francis Caracciolo (1563-1608) was an Italian Catholic priest and the founder of the Congregation of the Ministri degli Infermi, also known as the Regular Minimis. Born in Villa Santa Maria, Italy, he dedicated his life to serving the sick and the poor. After a religious conversion, he established the new religious order and served as its first superior general. St. Francis Caracciolo is venerated for his devotion to the Eucharist and his tireless work in caring for the less fortunate. He is the patron saint of Abruzzi, Italy, and is invoked for protection against skin diseases.
