Saint Etheldreda
Saint Etheldreda, also known as Æthelthryth or Audrey, was an Anglo-Saxon princess and abbess. She founded the Abbey at Ely and is venerated for her piety and dedication to religious life. Despite two unconsummated marriages, she preserved her virginity. She is renowned as a patroness of chastity and is widely honored in English Christian tradition.
