Saint Isabel, of Portugal

Saint Isabel of Portugal was a queen consort, known for her piety and commitment to the poor. She was the wife of King Denis of Portugal and was greatly admired for her devotion to charitable works. Isabel acted as a peacemaker within the royal family and the broader kingdom. After her husband's death, she retired to a life of greater prayer and service.
