St. Ulrich, Bishop of Augsburg

St. Ulrich, also known as Udalricus, was a German Catholic saint who lived in the 10th century. Born around 890 AD, he served as the Bishop of Augsburg from 923 until his death in 973. As bishop, Ulrich was known for his piety, generosity, and concern for the poor. He played a key role in defending the city of Augsburg against the Magyar invasion in 955, and was later canonized in 993 for his virtuous life and miracles. St. Ulrich is the patron saint of Augsburg and is invoked for protection against storms and witchcraft.
