Saint Procopius, martyr of Scythopolis
Saint Procopius, martyr of Scythopolis, was a Christian of the early 4th century in present-day Israel. He served as a reader and exorcist, and perhaps as an acolyte. Under the reign of Emperor Diocletian, he was arrested for his faith and was beheaded in 303 AD. His courage and steadfastness became an inspiration for Christians enduring persecution.
