Saint Veronica

Saint Veronica is known in Catholic tradition as the woman who offered her veil to Jesus to wipe his face as He carried the cross to Calvary. According to legend, the image of Christ's face was miraculously imprinted on her veil. Although not mentioned in the canonical Gospels, her story is commemorated in the sixth Station of the Cross. Saint Veronica is venerated for her compassion and courage in comforting Christ during His Passion.
