St. Victor I, Pope

St. Victor I was the Bishop of Rome and Pope from around 189 AD to 199 AD. He was born in Africa and is believed to have served as the 15th Pope of the Catholic Church. As Pope, he is known for establishing the date for the celebration of Easter and for his role in resolving disputes within the early Christian community. He is venerated as a saint for his leadership and devotion to the faith. St. Victor I is the patron saint of diocese of Marseille, France.
