Saint Nadia

Saint Nadia

Saint Nadia, also known as Nadège (from the Slavic 'Nadezhda', meaning 'hope'), was one of three sisters venerated as Christian martyrs in 2nd-century Rome: Faith, Hope, and Charity. Nadia (Hope) and her sisters are celebrated for their steadfast faith and courage during persecution. Their mother, Sophia, is also honored as a saint for supporting her daughters in their martyrdom. The virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity are central to Christian teaching and devotion. Saint Nadia is especially venerated in Eastern and Western Christian traditions.
