Saint Just, martyr of Lyon
Saint Just, martyr of Lyon, was a young Christian from the city of Lyon in Gaul during the late third century. He was arrested and condemned to death during the fierce persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian. Just, together with his brother Pastor, courageously professed his faith and was executed for refusing to abandon Christ. His martyrdom is commemorated on August 6, and he is especially venerated in Lyon.
