Saint Sixtus, pope and martyr

Saint Sixtus, pope and martyr, was the Bishop of Rome during the third century and served as pope from 257 to 258 AD. He led the Church during a time of severe persecution under Emperor Valerian. Sixtus is known for his pastoral wisdom and for strengthening the faith of Christians facing martyrdom.
