Samuel

St. Samuel was a prophet and judge of ancient Israel. He was born around 1100 BC and played a significant role in the establishment of the Kingdom of Israel. As a young boy, he served in the temple under the High Priest Eli. Later, he anointed Saul and then David as the first two kings of Israel. Samuel was known for his wisdom, piety, and devotion to God. He is venerated as a prophet and a key figure in the Old Testament. St. Samuel is the patron saint of prophets.
