Moses
St. Moses, also known as Moses the Black, was a 4th-century Christian monk and priest from Egypt. Born around 330 AD, he was once a criminal and former slave who had a dramatic conversion and became a renowned leader in the monastic community of Scete. Known for his strong faith, humility, and wisdom, he was ordained a priest and eventually became the abbot of his monastery. St. Moses is venerated for his remarkable transformation from a life of violence to one of peace and devotion to God.
