Saint Frederic Ozanam

Saint Frederic Ozanam (1813–1853) was a French scholar and the principal founder of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, dedicating his life to serving the poor. He was a professor at the University of Paris and a prolific writer. Through his charitable works, he inspired countless Christians to social action. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1997 and is regarded as a model of lay holiness.
