St. Guy of Anderlecht
St. Guy of Anderlecht (also known as St. Wite or St. Guido) was a Belgian saint who lived in the 10th century. Born in the town of Anderlecht, near Brussels, he was known for his piety and devotion to the poor. As a young man, he became a pilgrim and traveled to Rome, where he was inspired to dedicate his life to serving the less fortunate. Upon returning to his hometown, he established a hospice and spent his remaining years caring for the sick and destitute. St. Guy of Anderlecht is venerated as the patron saint of Brussels and is invoked for protection against epilepsy and mental illness.
