St. Basilla, Martyr on the via Salaria antica

St. Basilla was a Christian martyr who lived in Rome during the 3rd century AD. She was executed for her faith on the via Salaria antica, an ancient Roman road, on September 22nd. Though little is known about her life, she is venerated for her courage and steadfast commitment to her beliefs in the face of persecution. Basilla's feast day is celebrated annually on the date of her martyrdom. She is considered a patron saint of those who suffer for their Christian faith.
