Saint Hermann Joseph
Saint Hermann Joseph was a German Premonstratensian canon regular and mystic of the 12th-13th centuries. He was especially known for his childlike devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom he offered his heart symbolically. Born around 1150 in Cologne, he spent his life at the Steinfeld Abbey, leading a life of prayer, humility, and service. Hermann is also remembered for his reported mystical visions and deep love for the Eucharist.
