St. John Leonardi, Founder of the Clerics Regular of the Mother of God

St. John Leonardi (1541-1609) was an Italian Catholic priest and the founder of the Clerics Regular of the Mother of God. Born in Lucca, Italy, he dedicated his life to serving the poor and sick, and establishing schools for the education of children. Leonardi founded the Clerics Regular in 1574, a religious order focused on spiritual renewal and education.
