St. Nicholas Tavelic

St. Nicholas Tavelic was a Franciscan friar and Catholic saint who lived in the 14th century. He was born in Šibenik, Croatia around 1340 and traveled to the Holy Land as a missionary. In 1391, he and four other Franciscans were martyred in Damascus for refusing to convert to Islam.
