Saint Malo

St. Malo (also known as St. Machutus or St. Maclou) was a 6th-century Christian bishop and missionary who is venerated as the patron saint of Brittany, France. Born in Wales, he travelled to Brittany and established a monastery on the island of Cézembre, where he built a reputation for his holiness and miracles. He served as the Bishop of Aleth, now known as Saint-Malo, and is credited with evangelizing the region and converting many to Christianity. St. Malo is celebrated for his charitable works and his devotion to the poor.
